Welcome to the School of Genetics and Microbiology
The School of Genetics and Microbiology was formed in 2007. It comprises of two Departments – Genetics in the Smurfit Institute of Genetics at Lincoln Gate and Microbiology in the Moyne Institute of Preventive Medicine on College Park. Both Departments of the School are research-led by academic staff and post-doctoral scientists with interests encompassing molecular biology, cell biology, medicine, systems biology, developmental biology, parasitology and evolution.
